As car enthusiasts, we all want to know what makes the Buick Envision so special. How does it measure up to its competition? Is the 2023 Buick Envision worth it? This 2023 Buick Envision buyer’s guide has the answer to all your questions.
What’s new in the 2023 Buick Envision?
For the 2023 Envision, there aren’t many improvements other than a few additional colors, each of which is at least $495 more expensive. With a beautiful profile and understated yet enticing ends that stand out without trying too hard to stick out, the 2023 Envision keeps its global appeal. Even with the 10.2-inch touchscreen on all except the base model, the interior maintains the idea of allowing the curves and lines retain the power instead of schlocking on adornment.
Trims and Specs
Envision trims are offered in three progressively opulent levels: Preferred, Essence, and Avenir. The Preferred model lacks the amenities necessary to justify the price due to its smaller infotainment system and manual seats.
The midrange Essence trim offers the greatest value in the lineup. The largest infotainment system and heated leather seats are included while keeping the price from exceeding $40,000 in a significant way.

Engine and Performance
The 2023 Buick Envision only offers one engine option. The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-low-end four’s output for the class is 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 time for the Envision we tested in 2021 took 7.1 seconds for front-wheel drive and 7.5 seconds for all-wheel drive. The nine-speed automatic gearbox often shifts smoothly and efficiently with the power at hand.
Interior and Cargo
The inside of the Envision is fairly stylish, and of the three trim levels, the Avenir is the one that most effectively competes with its rivals. The Avenir adds amenities like quilted leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a massaging driver’s seat in addition to the many standard features included in the Preferred and Essence versions.
The new Envision is somewhat shorter than the previous generation, therefore it has a little less cargo room than before, but the cabin offers comparable passenger space.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Preferred, the entry-level specification, comes with an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, whereas Essence and Avenir models come with a 10.2-inch display instead.
All models in the range are equipped with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. A 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM satellite radio, a six-speaker audio, and an active noise-cancelling system are all included as standard features in Buick vehicles.
Essence trim buyers get a seven-speaker stereo as standard, but they may choose the Technology package, which also includes in-dash navigation, to upgrade to a nine-speaker Bose system; both of those items are included on the Avenir.
Exterior
The 2023 Buick Envision perfectly embodies the luxury brand of GM. Its American proportions, which are neither overdone nor understated, have a European stamp on both the inside and the outside.
Nothing particularly catches the eye, there is no flashy grille that dominates the front fascia, and there are no edges that will poke your eye out if you move too closely. The modest grille’s LED headlights continue from there, sweeping back over the fenders in a body line that fades and then comes back at the rear. Without any further adornment over the C-pillars, the chrome that encircles the greenhouse elegantly resolves itself at the back.
The 2023 Buick Envision stuns in 7 paint colors, with 2 new fresh colors White Frost Tricoat and Moonstone Grey Metallic.
